What It Means to House a Tala’s Closet –
Creating access where it’s needed most

Tala’s Closet grows through community partnerships, allowing us to reach survivors where they are. To “house” a Tala’s Closet means opening your space to provide a safe, supportive environment where survivors can access essential items at no cost as they begin again.

This model allows us to expand beyond a single location and bring resources directly into communities that need them most.

How It Works

A shared effort with a clear structure

What host locations provide:

• A physical space to house the closet
• A safe, welcoming environment
• Support from local staff or volunteers

What Tala’s Closet provides:

• Inventory of clothing, hygiene products, and essential items
• Setup guidance and organizational structure
• Ongoing support to keep the space stocked and accessible

Together, we create a community-driven solution that removes barriers and ensures survivors don’t have to start over alone.

Who Can Host

Open to organizations committed to supporting survivors

Leaving an abusive situation often means starting over with very little. By bringing Tala’s Closet into more communities, we’re able to remove barriers and make essential resources more accessible.

Each new location creates an opportunity for someone to feel supported, seen, and not alone during one of the most difficult transitions of their life.
